Reynolds & Rubino Psychology Group is a centrally located and thriving group private practice that offers comprehensive mental health services to children through adults in Northern Virginia. Services include individual therapy, family therapy, couples therapy, psychological evaluations, and adult psychiatric services. We provide a hybrid model for sessions and offer in-person and telehealth/virtual options.
Licensed clinical psychologists, professional counselors, and social workers utilize many different evidence-based and therapeutic orientations including, but not limited to, cognitive-behavior therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), acceptance & commitment therapy (ACT), eye movement desensitization and reprocessing therapy (EMDR), exposure and response prevention (EXRP), mindfulness, psychodynamic, interpersonal psychotherapy (IPT), somatosensory, play therapy, and parent-child interaction therapy (PCIT). Clinical specializations and areas of interests include mood disorders, anxiety disorders, trauma work, OCD, perinatal mental health, behavioral disorders, attachment concerns, young adult launching and identity formation, and relationship issues.
We provide marketing and referrals, billing services, insurance credentialing, business email and virtual phone system, electronic health record system, individual supervision and consultation/supervision group. There is flexibility in scheduling and opportunities to develop your own niche and clinical specialty, allowing our clinicians to grow as independent practitioners.

Post-doctoral Training
Description: Post-doctoral positions are available for clinical psychology students (Psy.D. or Ph.D.) who have completed a doctoral in psychology program and are working towards licensure. Post-docs will receive training in psychotherapy for adults, adolescents, and/or children and in conducting comprehensive psychological/psychoeducational assessments. Post-docs will be expected to treat at least 15 to 20 patients (children, adolescents, adults) per week and complete at least five comprehensive psychological evaluations over the course of one year. If interested, there are also opportunities to provide couples, group, and family therapy. Post-docs will participate in weekly individual supervision sessions, monthly group supervision and didactics, and testing supervision. Post-docs will have the opportunity to present therapy and testing cases and obtain helpful feedback from licensed clinicians and colleagues.
Start date, length of commitment: Flexible start date, one year commitment
Scheduling requirements: Some flexibility in scheduling. At least 3 days per week (20-30 hours per week), which includes clinical hours, supervision, and administrative time. At least one evening or one weekend day required to accommodate patient needs.
Preferred experience: Psychological testing experience, training in evidence-based modalities (i.e., CBT, DBT, ACT, EMDR)
Doctoral Student Externship/Practicum
Description: Doctoral student externship positions are available for clinical psychology students (Psy.D. or Ph.D.) who are enrolled in doctoral in psychology programs. Doctoral externs will receive training in psychotherapy for adults, adolescents, and/or children and in conducting comprehensive psychological/psychoeducational assessments. Externs will be expected to treat at least 8 to 10 patients (children, adolescents, adults) per week and complete at least two comprehensive psychological evaluations over the course of one year. Externs will participate in weekly individual supervision sessions, monthly group supervision and didactics, and testing supervision. Externs will have the opportunity to present therapy and testing cases and obtain helpful feedback from licensed clinicians and colleagues.

Professional Counseling Student Internship
Description: Counseling student internship/practicum positions are available for students actively enrolled in a CACREP accredited master’s level counseling program (LPC or LMFT track). Student interns will receive training in psychotherapy for adults, adolescents, and/or children. Interns will be expected to treat at least 10-12 patients (children, adolescents, adults) per week over the course of one year. Opportunities for couples therapy, group therapy, and family therapy are available. Externs will participate in weekly individual supervision sessions and monthly group supervision and didactics. Interns will have the opportunity to present therapy cases and obtain helpful feedback from licensed clinicians and colleagues.

Description: Residency in professional counseling positions are available for students who have completed their master’s level counseling program and working towards their LPC licensure. Residents in counseling will receive training in psychotherapy for adults, adolescents, and/or children and will be expected to treat at least 15 to 20 patients per week. Residents will participate in weekly individual supervision sessions and monthly group supervision and didactics. Externs will have the opportunity to present therapy and testing cases and obtain helpful feedback from licensed clinicians and colleagues.
