Imari Paige, M.Ed., Resident in Counseling, earned her Bachelors degree in Psychology and Masters in Counseling degree from Virginia Commonwealth University. She has experience working with individuals, families, and groups in school and intensive outpatient settings with a clinical interest in treating depression, anxiety, substance use disorders, and family dynamics.
Imari believes that every child has the capacity to grow, heal, and thrive when supported in a safe and caring environment. As a children’s therapist, she focused on creating a space where children can explore their emotions, develop healthy coping strategies, and build a stronger sense of self. Her therapeutic style is person-centered, meaning she honors each child’s individuality and meets them where they are.
Imari integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help children recognize and shift unhelpful thought patterns, as well as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to strengthen emotional regulation, mindfulness, and problem-solving skills. Working closely with children and their families, Imari aims to improve communication, increase emotional awareness, and encourage positive change both in and outside of the therapy room.
